Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms govern your use of Docluster ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. Your account
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be able to form a binding contract to use Docluster, and the information you give us when registering must be accurate.
2. Your content
You retain ownership of every document you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit it solely to provide the service — for example, generating share links, rendering previews, and recording the analytics you've configured a link to collect.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, or that's unlawful, infringing, or malicious.
- Don't use Docluster's visitor-verification or NDA features to collect information deceptively.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the service or its rate limits.
4. Sharing and visitor data
When you share a document, Docluster may collect the visitor information a link's configured gates request (name, email, NDA acceptance) and activity data (views, downloads, time on page) on your behalf, as the link's owner. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use that data for your own purposes.
5. Electronic and digital signatures
Signatures made with Docluster are electronic signatures. Each signed copy records who was asked to sign, that they agreed to sign electronically, and when and from where they signed.
- What they are not. They are not Aadhaar eSign and not a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) issued by a licensed Certifying Authority under India's Information Technology Act, 2000, and not a qualified electronic signature under any other law. Docluster is not a Certifying Authority.
- Identity. A signer is identified only by the private link sent to their email address, or by their signed-in Docluster account. We don't verify anyone's identity beyond that.
- Certificates. Certificates a workspace creates in Docluster, and personal certificates made for its members, are issued by that workspace, not by a certificate authority. PDF readers may show such signatures as unverified. A certificate you upload is only as trusted as whoever issued it.
- Your responsibility. You decide whether an electronic signature is suitable for each document you send. Some documents need Aadhaar eSign, a DSC, a handwritten signature, stamping or registration (for example certain government filings, property transfers, wills and powers of attorney), and Docluster signatures can't be used for them.
- Checking a signed copy. Anyone can check whether a file is exactly the signed copy Docluster produced at /verify. The check is kept for as long as the workspace that signed it exists.
6. Plans and billing
Plan limits (storage, members, file size) are listed on our pricing page and enforced automatically. Paid plans are billed in Indian rupees (₹) at the price shown when you pay.
- Free trial. Each person gets one 14-day free trial of the Starter plan, on the first workspace they create. Other workspaces need a paid plan from the start. The trial is tied to your email address, so deleting your account and signing up again with the same address doesn't start a new one. If you don't choose a plan by the end of the trial, the workspace becomes read-only; nothing is deleted.
- One-off payments. Each payment buys one month or one year of a plan for one workspace, processed by Razorpay. Nothing renews or charges your card automatically.
- Renewing. You can renew from 7 days before your plan's paid-until date; the new period starts when the current one ends, so no days are lost.
- Changing plan. If you switch to a different plan mid-period, the new plan starts immediately and the unused time on your old plan is converted into extra days on the new one. No money is refunded or charged for the difference.
- When a period ends. If you don't renew, the workspace is suspended (read-only) 3 days after the paid-until date. Paying again reactivates it.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, except for duplicate or erroneous charges. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Invoices. An invoice is emailed after each payment and can be downloaded again from the Billing page.
7. Termination
You may stop using Docluster and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the service or other users at risk.
8. Disclaimers & liability
Docluster is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
